Since graduating and becoming active in the Washington, DC metro alumni association in 2008, Erica M. Williams has truly served Dillard University and it’s Alumni Association.


She is currently President of the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area Alumni Association. She has served three consecutive terms as President, for a total of 5 years. Erica previously served as Treasurer of the Association in 2009 -2010 fiscal year, which is a big role as a recent alumna. In the five years as president, she has expanded the fundraisers from one to three a year with the most recent Mardi Gras Ball held in conjunction with Xavier University of Louisiana Alumni Club No. 5 DMV Chapter. Under her leadership, the Association has maintained 30+ members in an tri-state area challenged by geographical traffic issues.


Furthermore, Erica has held the position of chairperson of the Alumni Giving Initiative committee for the Dillard University National Alumni Association for the past three years. Through her efforts of the Reunion Class Bracketology, 2016 Alumni Survey, educational social media posts and other supporting efforts, she has encouraged alumni to donate which has assisted the University increase its alumni giving rate each year. Lastly, Erica received the UNCF National Alumni Council Outstanding Young Alumni Award for Dillard University in 2016. Erica received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Accounting in 2008. Her professional work experiences include Senior Auditor, Naval Audit Service; Senior Internal Auditor, MGM Resorts International; Global Forensic and Dispute Services Senior Associate for the Washington, District of Columbia office of Alvarez and Marsal; Assurance Associate and Public Sector Financial Management Senior Associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers in McLean, Virginia.

Special Skills: Erica’s special skills include leadership, event planning, making data driven decisions, and the ability to build cross generational relationships


Why I wish to serve: I am seeking the first vice president position because I believe in the vision and mission of the National Alumni Association. I have the desire to improve the relevancy of the National Alumni Association and its chapters into the future. And, I would like to continue supporting the excellence and heritage of Dillard University and the National Alumni Association.
